Bothell-area woman slashed with box cutter dies from wounds

A 48-year-old woman who was found with injuries from a box cutter on Thursday has died, the Snohomish Count Sheriff’s Office said.

The woman had been hospitalized along with her estranged husband at Harborview Medical Center since both were found injured in a home in the 2100 block of Maltby Road near Bothell.

The 48-year-old man is in intensive care at Harborview.

Both had wounds that authorities believe came from a box cutter. The sheriff’s office has said the injuries were apparently sustained during a domestic-violence incident. However, officials have not released details on what they think happened.
