Canadian man arrested at Sea-Tac Airport on warrant

The Associated Press

Federal agents arrested a 20-year-old Vancouver, B.C., man after he arrived in Seattle on a flight from Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers took Samir Mokhtar into custody Wednesday at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport after his name came up on a check of the National Crime Information Database. It showed that he was wanted on an active warrant in Vancouver for a charge of manslaughter using a firearm.

Mokhtar was held overnight at the Northwest Detention Center and taken to Blaine on Thursday, where he was turned over to Canadian authorities.
