CBS and Dish Network reach deal

Update, 11 a.m.: CBS Corp. and Dish Network have reached a deal after a brief blackout of Seattle’s CW Network channel. View full story here.

Original post: CBS Corp. has blocked Dish Network customer access to its owned-and-operated local channels, including Seattle’s KSTW-TV, because of a disagreement between the two companies regarding program fees.

Seattle’s channel, the CW Network, is one of more than 25 channels across the nation that was blocked Friday evening, according to Dish. The CW Network carries shows such as “America’s Next Top Model,” “Jane the Virgin” and “Hart of Dixie.”

CBS and Dish were unable to reach a new agreement on program fees Friday, Bloomberg reported.

The blackout was imposed in New York, Los Angeles and several other major markets.
