Deputy kills pit bull in Vancouver

VANCOUVER, Wash. — The Clark County Sheriff’s Office says a detective shot and killed a pit bull that bit the officer Wednesday at a home in Vancouver where officers were investigating a child sexual assault.
The detective was treated at an emergency room for a bite to an arm.
A 60-year-old man was arrested for investigation of child molestation.
