Driver arrested following Bellevue crash

A man was arrested for investigation of vehicular assault following a serious-injury crash early Monday morning in the 15400 block of Lake Hills Boulevard in Bellevue.

Police say a car driven by a 25-year-old Bellevue man crashed into a vehicle driven by a 40-year-old Bellevue man, who was taken to Overlake Hospital Medical Center with serious injuries, Bellevue police spokesman Seth Tyler said in a news release.

Police believe drugs and/or alcohol were a factor in the crash.

“We took a blood draw from the suspect and are awaiting results. I don’t know if there was a smell of alcohol but there was enough evidence for the officer to suspect DUI,” Tyler said.

Lake Hills Boulevard was closed from 12:30 a.m. until 9 a.m. while police investigated, Tyler said.
