Former Blaine councilman killed while walking dog

The Associated Press

BLAINE — Former Blaine City Council member Bruce Wolf was struck by a car and killed Sunday evening while walking his dog.

The Washington State Patrol says the 73-year-old was hit when the dog got loose and ran into the road and Wolf ran after it.

The Bellingham Herald reports the 86-year-old driver told troopers she did not see the man. She was not under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
