EVERETT — The Snohomish County sheriff’s office says a high school student from Granite Falls was fatally injured in a fight outside a party at Snohomish, and another student has been arrested for investigation of manslaughter.
The sheriff’s office says the two 18-year-olds from Lake Stevens got into a fight early Sunday following a minor vehicle collision outside the party.
Witnesses say the suspect hit the victim in the face and he fell backward, unconscious. A friend drove him to the hospital where he died. Detectives jailed the suspect for their manslaughter investigation.
The sheriff’s office says both victim and suspect are students at Crossroads High School in Granite Falls.
