Man, 20, fatally shot in South Seattle; suspects at large

A man was killed in a drive-by shooting in South Seattle Wednesday night.

The man in his 20s was walking near Renton Avenue South and South Kenyon Street with a family member when he was shot by somebody in an SUV around 8:30 p.m., Seattle Police Department spokesman Drew Fowler said.

The man was taken to Harborview Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

The witness provided a description of the vehicle, which has been broadcast to officers, Fowler said.

Officers from the department’s homicide and gang units are investigating.

Police ask anybody with information about the incident to call 206-233-5000 or 911.
