Not guilty plea in Pasco gang shootings
The Associated Press
PASCO — An 18-year-old man pleaded not guilty Tuesday to murder and assault charges for gang-related shootings in Pasco.
The Tri-City Herald reports the trial date for DeShawn I. Anderson of Finley was set for Feb. 18 in Franklin County Superior Court.
Prosecutors say Anderson was one of two men who ambushed a car Nov. 18, wounding three men inside. He’s also accused of firing shots on Dec. 3 that killed 22-year-old Lorenzo R. Fernandez, who reportedly was an associate of the victims in the Nov. 18 shooting.
Investigators say a string of shootings in Pasco were the result of a gang feud. One of the shootings killed Anderson’s friend, 20-year-old Anthony Guerrero.
