Power outage leaves 4,000 in the dark in West Seattle
Update: City Light said shortly after midnight that power was restored. The outage was due to an underground cable failure.
A power outage in West Seattle has left more than 4,000 customers in the dark, Seattle City Light said Saturday night.
City Light said on its website that the outage occurred around 11 p.m., and a map showed the problems extending from Alki Beach to Delridge Way. City Light estimated that power could be restored by about 2 a.m.
City Light said it was investigating the cause of the outage.
