Snohomish County woman accused of pimping daughter

The Associated Press

EVERETT — A Snohomish County woman is accused of sex-trafficking her own teenage daughter.

The Herald reports sheriff’s deputies recently arrested the 44-year-old for investigation of promoting sexual abuse of a minor. Detectives tracked the teen through Internet ads last year to motels in Everett, Edmonds and Fife when she was 15 years old.

Spokeswoman Shari Ireton says the mother knew exactly what was going on and was complicit in the rape of a child for money.

The teen recently told a detective that she gave her mother about $2,000 from her earnings as a prostitute.
