ARLINGTON — Two people have died in a mobile home fire near Arlington.
A neighbor first reported the fire around 9 p.m. on Monday at the 14200 block of Club Way, according to a release from the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office.
The chief of the local Snohomish County fire district, Travis Hots, told KCPQ that flames were shooting out of the structure with firefighters arrived. The heat was too intense for them to go inside. The roof of the mobile home collapsed.
Hots says officials have determine there are two bodies inside. Confirmation of their identity is pending from the Medical Examiner’s Office as well as the cause and manner of death, the sheriff’s office said.
The Snohomish County sheriff’s office is investigating the deaths along with the medical examiner’s office. And the county fire marshal is investigating the cause of the fire. Recovery of the bodies may take several hours due to the unsafe conditions of the burned structure, the release said.
