Two suspects have been arrested in connection with a fatal drive-by shooting on New Year’s Eve in South Seattle, police said.
The two men, ages 19 and 22, were arrested in Tacoma on Friday afternoon after an investigation that involved federal marshals, according to the Seattle Police Department. The men were booked into the King County Jail for investigation of homicide.
The man killed in the drive-by shooting was identified last week as Rahman Karriem, 22, by the King County Medical Examiner’s Office. Karriem was walking near Renton Avenue South and South Kenyon Street with a family member when he was shot in the chest by someone in an SUV, the Police Department said. He was taken to Harborview Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
