Ferry Kalakala soon to be scrapped

After a series of unsuccessful attempts to restore and revive it, the art deco ferry Kalakala will soon be scrapped.
Owner Karl Anderson tells the News Tribune of Tacoma the boat may be cut apart later this month. Badly deteriorated, it is sitting in a Tacoma waterway.
