Homeless man wakes up, discovers he has been shot

Talk about a rude awakening.

A homeless man told Seattle police that he awoke in a tent in a wooded area near Interstate 5 and Harborview Medical Center on Wednesday afternoon and discovered he had been shot in the leg.

Police were called to Swedish Hospital after the 41-year-old man arrived with a gunshot wound, police said. He was medicated and could not tell officers the location of the tent, who shot him or why, police said.

Police are investigating.
