Man in fog struck and killed on Highway 241 near Sunnyside

The Associated Press

SUNNYSIDE — The Washington State Patrol says the fog before dawn Sunday was a factor in the death of a man who was walking in the middle of Highway 241 near Sunnyside.

The driver didn’t see 67-year-old Juan Gutierrez who was fatally injured.

State Trooper Erik Magnussen tells KNDO.  The patrol is asking drivers to slow down and be especially cautious in the fog.
