Man stabbed during bar fight in Seattle’s Interbay neighborhood

A man was arrested after he allegedly stabbed another man during a bar fight Friday in Seattle’s Interbay neighborhood.

Police say the man they arrested had been harassing a woman at a bar in the 3400 block of Gilman Avenue West at 10:30 p.m., when the other man stepped in to intervene and was stabbed.

When the suspect tried to flee by jumping over a patio wall, he broke his ankle. Still holding a knife, he tried to get into a waiting car driven by his wife, but several witnesses pulled the man from the car. Some sustained cuts to their hands.

Medics took both men to Harborview Medical Center. The suspect will be booked into King County Jail on investigation of assault once released from the hospital.
