Seattle police say that a 13-year-old girl who went missing on Jan. 16 has returned home.
Eliana Perkins was last seen getting into a white Honda on Martin Luther King Jr. Way, police said. The car was reportedly driven by a man in his 30s.
Police spokesman Patrick Michaud said that in the days following the girl’s disappearance investigators classified her case as that of a runaway, not a missing person. Eliana returned home on Monday, police said.
“She was mostly couch-surfing with friends,” Michaud said.
