Night closures scheduled for Fremont Bridge this weekend

The Fremont Bridge will be closed to all traffic Saturday and Sunday from midnight to 7 a.m. this weekend, the Seattle Department of Transportation said in a news release.

The bridge’s southern span will be kept upright so crews can prime and paint the steel underneath and behind the bridge counter-weight.

Bicyclists and pedestrians will be able to cross for brief periods at 1:20 a.m. and 2:20 a.m.
