UPDATE, 11:12 p.m. | Power has been restored to all customers affected by Tuesday evening’s outage, Seattle City Light said.
UPDATE, 9:20 p.m. | Power has been restored to Seattle City Light customers in Magnolia. Crews estimate power will be restored to the 2,000 customers along the west side of Aurora Avenue North around 1 a.m. Wednesday.
The outage was caused by underground equipment failure, Seattle City Light said.
UPDATE, 7 p.m. | City Light has tweeted that it now expects to have power restored by 9:20 p.m.
ORIGINAL POST | More than 4,000 Seattle City Light customers are without power along the west side of Aurora Avenue North in the Lake Union area and in Seattle’s Magnolia neighborhood
The outage was reported shortly after 6 p.m. Tuesday, according to Seattle City Light. Most of the outage is concentrated along Aurora Avenue North, north of Mercer Street.
Seattle City Light estimates power will be restored around 1 a.m. Wednesday.
The cause is under investigation.
