A 22-year-old man is being held on investigation of homicide after his father was shot and killed late Friday afternoon at a home east of Redmond, said King County Sheriff’s spokesman Sgt. DB Gates.
A call to the police at 5:25 p.m. described an argument between the son and his 51-year-old father at the residence in the 22000 block of Northeast 75th Street. Before officers arrived, the caller said shots had been fired.
When sheriff’s deputies reached the house, a woman and an 11-year-old boy had fled the home and were safe. Deputies directed the son and an unrelated 18-year-old woman out of the house. Inside, they found the father dead from gunshot wounds, Gates said. No one else was injured.
It is not known what the argument was about, Gates said. The son is being held at the King County Jail.
