Suspect arrested in Lynnwood double stabbing

UPDATE 9:02 a.m. | The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office says they arrested a man in connection with a double stabbing at a Lynnwood apartment Wednesday morning as he was getting off a bus.

The man is accused of entering an apartment in the 4100 block of 156th Street Southwest, in unincorporated Snohomish County, and stabbing a 37-year-old woman and a 38-year-old man. A sheriff’s spokeswoman said the suspect is believed to be the boyfriend of the woman who was hurt.

After the attack the suspect allegedly boarded a bus; he was arrested in the 5800 block of 188th Street Southwest, the sheriff’s office said.

Both victims were sent to Providence Regional Medical Center in Everett.

UPDATE 8:51 a.m. | The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a man in a double stabbing that occurred at a Lynnwood apartment Wednesday morning.

Arrest details have not been provided.

A sheriff’s spokeswoman said both victims were taken to an Everett hospital for treatment.

ORIGINAL POST |  Two people were stabbed in unincorporated Snohomish County Wednesday morning and the sheriff’s office is looking for the suspect.

Around 7:30 a.m. a 38-year-old woman and 39-year-old man were stabbed by a man “believed to be the boyfriend” of the female stabbing victim, according to the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office.

The two were stabbed inside an apartment building in the 4100 block of 156th Street Southwest in Lynnwood, said sheriff’s spokeswoman Shari Ireton.

The victims are being treated by medics at the scene. Ireton said one of the victims will be taken to Harborview Medical Center.

Deputies are searching for a white male, who is approximately 5-feet 9-inches, with a shaved head. The suspect was last seen wearing blue jeans, black shoes, a gray and red hooded sweatshirt and a black backpack.

Streets around the apartment building are closed while deputies investigate.
