A body was found floating in Puget Sound off West Seattle Thursday morning.
According to Seattle police a person who saw the body dialed 911. Police responded to the stretch of coastline near Me-Kwa-Mooks Park, said police spokesman Drew Fowler.
The body is reported to be a that of an approximately 50-year-old female and she was found dead on arrival, the Seattle Fire Department said in a tweet.
Seattle police spokesman Sgt. Sean Whitcomb said it doesn’t appear the woman was in the water very long.
“It’s a death investigation at this point,” Whitcomb said.
