Yakima gang detectives investigate fatal drive-by shooting

YAKIMA  — Police gang-unit detectives are investigating the drive-by shooting that killed a 25-year-old man Thursday night in Yakima.

Officers responded to a report of a shooting and found the man dead at the scene. He has been identified as Elidoro Navarro of Yakima.

Witnesses said multiple shots were fired from a dark-colored sedan.

The Yakima Herald-Republic reports it was the second homicide in Yakima County this year and the first in the city of Yakima.
