1 wounded in shooting near Judkins Park

Police are searching for a suspect in a shooting where a man was wounded in the ankle Thursday evening near Judkins Park.

Police received several 911 reports of gunfire shortly after 6 p.m. in the 800 block of 24 Ave South. Officers arrived and located a 24-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his ankle. Medics transported the man to Harborview Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

Officers are collecting evidence at the scene and are also interviewing potential witnesses. Detectives from the Gang Unit are leading the investigation going forward.
