A man arrested Friday night in connection with a fatal shooting in Everett has been booked into jail on suspicion of two counts of second-degree murder and one count of first-degree assault with a weapon.
Two people were killed and one was injured in the shooting at a residence in the 2400 block of 75th Street Southeast, according to the Everett Police Department. No information has been released on the victims’ identities or whether they lived in that home. The suspect was arrested in Everett’s Forest Park about two hours later.
The injured victim was taken to a hospital, police spokesman Aaron Snell said Friday night.
The 37-year-old suspect was booked into Snohomish County Jail shortly before midnight Friday, according to jail records. The man has a lengthy criminal record, with more than 20 charges that include methamphetamine possession, possession of stolen property and assault.
The house where the fatal shooting occurred was the site of two other homicides since 2008. Cory Hamilton, 38, of Shoreline, was found dead in the driveway of the home in July 2008. In May 2011, Everett police found a man’s body in the garage. The man had not been living in the house but was associated with the residence in some way, officials said at the time.
