It’s February in the Northwest and we can expect heavy rains throughout the week, according to the National Weather Service forecast.
Temperatures will reach the low 50s Tuesday in the Seattle area with an increasing chance of rain.
Highs for the rest of the week are expected to be in the mid-50s.
Forecasters expect heavy rain to blow into Washington on Wednesday and Thursday.
Rain also is forecast across eastern Washington with a rising snow level in the mountains. The rain and runoff could cause storm water flooding in low-lying areas.
The Weather Service says a mild and rainy pattern will continue through the weekend statewide.
