Man stabbed early Thursday in the U. District

UPDATE 8:35 a.m. | Seattle police are searching for a woman believed to have stabbed a man in the University District early Thursday morning.

Seattle police spokesman Drew Fowler said the suspect has been described as a white woman in her 20s, 5-feet-8 to 5-feet-10 inches and she was seen wearing a green jacket. She reportedly fled the scene with a three-legged pit bull in tow.

ORIGINAL POST | Seattle Police are investigating a stabbing that happened early Thursday morning in the University District, according to tweets from the SPD account.

A call to 911 came in around 12:20 a.m. and officers responded to the 4200 block of University Way Northeast. An adult male victim was taken to Harborview Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.

Officers believe the stabbing  may have started as a fight between two groups, SPD tweeted. They are looking for suspects.
