Man, woman fatally shot in Everett identified

The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office has released the names of the two people fatally shot last Friday at a home in Everett.

Kevin P. Odneal, 50, died of a gunshot wound of the torso. Irene D. “Deni” Halverson, 42,  died of multiple gunshot wounds to the torso, the medical examiner’s office said. Both deaths have been classified as homicides.

Officers found the victims after responding to a shooting at a residence in the 2400 block of 75th Street Southeast. While officers secured the area, police received another report that a man possibly involved in the shooting was at Forest Park.

The man was located at the park and arrested without incident.

The house where the two were slain has been the scene of two earlier homicides.
