Missing Snohomish teens located safe in Tacoma

UPDATED AT 1:15 P.M.

Two teenage Snohomish girls who went missing last month have been found safe in Tacoma, the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office said Sunday.

Samantha Eldredge and Keyanna Monson, both 16, left their homes on Jan. 28, the sheriff’s office said.

The girls were located Saturday evening through a joint effort by the Tacoma Police Department, the FBI and the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office.  The girls were located together and are in a safe location, authorities said.

No arrests have been made.

Details about how they were found or where they had been were not immediately available.

Authorities earlier Sunday said the girls were with their families, but later clarified that they are in a safe location where they will receive the support they need.
