ALBANY, Ore. — The 26-year-old man accused of stabbing his father to death at their home in Albany was ordered held without bail after his arraignment Tuesday in Linn County Circuit Court.
Police said they found Martin Ferrero covered in blood Sunday when they responded to a hang-up 911 call. Officers found 64-year-old Thomas Ferrero dead on the living room floor.
The Albany Democrat-Herald reports the victim was recently named assistant director of the Oregon Department of Geology and Mineral Industries’ Mineral Land Reclamation program.
