Lake Stevens man, 79, found safe after search

Update, 1:10 p.m.: The man has been found and is safe, according to the Lake Stevens police.

Original post: Authorities are asking for help in finding a 79-year-old Lake Stevens man missing since Sunday afternoon.

Andrew A. Green did not return home from his regular afternoon walk in an area near the 2300 block of Soper Hill Rd.  Green is African American, 5-feet-10 inches and about 150 pounds. He has gray hair and was last seen wearing tan pants and a black jacket.

He has been diagnosed with dementia and lives in an assisted living facility.

The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office is helping Lake Stevens police, and ask anyone with information to call 911.
