Prosser man slowly recovering from fall off I-82 overpass

The Associated Press

RICHLAND — A Prosser man who broke multiple bones in a fall off an Interstate 82 overpass in October is slowly recovering as he goes through a painful rehabilitation process.

Phil Frazier had stopped to help at an accident scene and fell about 30 feet while avoiding an oncoming car.

The Tri-City Herald reports he spent almost three months in hospitals in Seattle and Prosser. He’s been receiving outpatient therapy for a couple of weeks, steadily increasing the distance he can walk at each session.

Doctors have told the 41-year-old he won’t be able to return to work as a carpenter. He says, “Thanks for the challenge.”
