Suspect arrested in North Seattle burglaries
Seattle police have arrested a suspect in the recent string of North Seattle burglaries.
The man was arrested shortly after midnight this morning during a traffic stop in the 4500 block of NinthAvenue Northeast. The suspect, a 19-year-old man, was the subject of a police wanted bulletin.
The suspect was wanted in connection with several north end burglaries of occupied residences, where keys were taken and cars stolen, police said. The suspect was booked into King County Jail for investigation of burglary and auto theft.

Olympia auto thief gives truck owner rude awakening
An armed man stole a pickup in Olympia early this morning while the owner was sleeping in the truck bed, according to komonews.com. The pickup’s owner was snoozing in the canopy-covered truck bed around 1:14 a.m. when the thief climbed into the cab and drove off from the parking lot of the Capitol Medical Center. The owner called 911 from inside the truck bed and gave dispatchers periodic updates on his location.
The thief drove the truck north on Highway 101 into Mason County, where he stopped, got out of the cab and walked toward the back of the truck armed with a knife, according to komonews.com.
The owner jumped out of the truck bed and ran to a nearby home to seek help.The thief drove off in the pickup. Police are looking for the thief and the pickup, a silver 1989 Toyota pickup with a brown canopy and Washington license B59457N.

Woman crashes big truck after Seattle police chase
There is not points to locate on the mapA woman in her 20s was arrested last night after leading police on a long chase in North Seattle and Shoreline before crashing into a light pole.
At 8:27 p.m., a man called 911 to report the woman had stolen his large work truck at First Avenue Northeast and Northeast Northgate Way. A short time later, Seattle police began receiving other 911 calls from citizens reporting the woman was driving the truck with a lift bucket on top erratically around North Seattle.
Officers initiated a chase at North 35th Street and Woodlawn Avenue North, but the woman refused to stop. Police broke off the chase when the woman headed north on Stone Avenue North.
A King County sheriff’s deputy spotted the woman as she drove into Shoreline. Eventually, the State Patrol joined in the chase and the woman headed back into Seattle.
The woman drove into a store parking lot in the 11700 block of Aurora Avenue North and struck the concrete base of a light pole. She was arrested for investigation of drunken driving, auto theft and felony eluding, and taken to Harborview Medical Center for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, police say.
