SHADY COVE, Ore. (AP) — Police say two teenage boys are the chainsaw-wielding vandals who damaged a Shady Cove park three weeks ago.
The boys, 14 and 15, allegedly used a chainsaw to cut down two trees, carve a 3-by-3-foot hole in the side of the park’s pump house, and cut two picnic benches in half, The Mail Tribune reports.
The teens were released to their parents and will appear in court on charges they vandalized Aunt Caroline’s Park.
Investigators did not provide a damage estimate.
