Land deal conserves rainforest on Olympic Peninsula

The Associated Press CLEARWATER, Wash. — The Nature Conservancy says it has purchased nearly 4 square miles of rainforest on the Olympic Peninsula for conservation. The timberland along Jefferson County’s Clearwater River was purchased from Fruit Growers Supply Co.
