Police increasing patrols after students targeted in West Seattle

UPDATE 1:48 P.M. Seattle police say they have increased patrols in West Seattle in reaction to a spike in crimes targeting middle- and high-school students. Delridge middle school student robbed at gunpoint

An armed man robbed a teen of her backpack as she walked to school in Delridge Thursday morning, according to Seattle police.
