Wind advisory for Western Washington
The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory for Western Washington from Monday afternoon to Tuesday morning.
Forecasters say a vigorous rain system will bring southerly winds of 20 to 30 miles per hour with gusts to 45 miles per hour. Gusts to 50 mph are possible on the coast and northwest interior.
Winds will likely send tree leaves flying. Forecasters also say the winds could bring down some branches or weakened trees and cause power outages.
