Vehicular-homicide charge filed in fatal Federal Way crash

A Federal Way man accused of driving drunk during a crash that killed a man late Monday night has been charged with vehicular homicide.

Jeffrey Waterfall, 56, drove a yellow 2003 Ford Mustang into a telephone pole in the 29000 block of Redondo Way South, in Federal Way, around 11:30 p.m., according to charges. The force of the impact caused the pole to be sheered off near the base. The pole remained standing, held up by the power lines, according to a police report included in the charging documents.

Kurtis D. Nevin, 52, was killed in the crash, according to charging documents filed in King County Superior Court.
