Thieves steal 9 wildlife cameras near North Bend

NORTH BEND — Nine wildlife cameras used to track elk near North Bend have been stolen. The Transportation Department was using the cameras in a project to prevent elk collisions on Interstate 90. Elk hooks up with soccer net in Maple Valley

MAPLE VALLEY (AP) — A young elk needed an assist after its horns became tangled in a soccer net at Rock Creek Elementary School in Maple Valley, says the Washington Fish and Wildlife Department. Officer Bruce Richards cut the net last Friday and freed the elk. A King County sheriff’s deputy who also responded recorded this video.
