UPDATE: One dead in house fire near Puyallup

Fire investigators in Pierce County say one man was killed this morning in a house fire in the 5800 block of 48th Avenue East near Puyallup.
According to Randy Stephens, spokesman and assistant fire chief for Central Pierce Fire and Rescue, investigators found one victim, a 70-year-old man. Initially, firefighters feared there could be a second victim, but it turned out she had already left for work.
The initial call came in at 7:30 a.m. By the time firefighters arrived the house was fully engulfed in flames.

Two die in Tukwila house fire
There is not points to locate on the mapTwo people died early Sunday in a house fire in Tukwila, officials said.
Seven adults and one infant were in the one-story rental house in the 16000 block of 46th Avenue South when the fire began shortly before 4:20 a.m.
The Tukwila Fire Department responded, joined by firefighters from Renton, Kent, SeaTac, Burien and North Highline.
As smoke poured from the home, firefighters searched room to room and found the bodies of two adults, said Martin Grisham, a Tukwila Fire Department battalion chief. The names of the victims weren’t released.
The Red Cross is assisting the five surviving adults and infant in finding temporary shelter. One of the adults went to Harborview Medical Center with non-life threatening burns.
The fire department is investigating the cause of the fire, including whether the smoke detectors were working. Fire marshals from Tukwila and Kent are investigating.
