Death toll in Snohomish County slide hits 39

The Oso-area mudslide has claimed the lives of 39 victims, according to the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office. In a news release this morning, agency officials said they have positively identified 36 of the 39 people killed in the March 22 slide. Seven people remain missing. Death toll hits 37 in Oso mudslide

The Oso mudslide has claimed the lives of 37 victims, the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office said this morning. Arrests down, fatalities up, over Christmas holiday

The number of drunk drivers arrested over the Christmas holiday weekend was down, according to the Washington State Patrol, but the number of fatalities was up.
