Cashmere farm dog killed, apparently by cougar

The Associated Press CASHMERE  — A large farm dog was killed and mostly eaten by a wild animal in an orchard near Cashmere. Senior facility cited for blowing nesting birds out of vent

Elk hooks up with soccer net in Maple Valley

MAPLE VALLEY (AP) — A young elk needed an assist after its horns became tangled in a soccer net at Rock Creek Elementary School in Maple Valley, says the Washington Fish and Wildlife Department. Officer Bruce Richards cut the net last Friday and freed the elk. A King County sheriff’s deputy who also responded recorded this video.
