Anglers protest fishing regulations at Rockport

ROCKPORT (AP) — A row of anglers cast their lines into the Skagit River at Rockport to protest regulations that prevent them from catching steelhead. No fish were caught in Saturday’s protest. Fecal bacteria closes Samish Bay to shellfish harvesting

The Department of Health has closed Samish Bay to shellfish harvesting because of high levels of fecal bacteria from the Samish River.
