The swimming area of Clyde Beach Park on Lake Washington Boulevard in Bellevue will be closed from Tuesday until mid-October while crews replace a 40-year-old pier.
The park’s lower parking lot, west turf area and walkway to the pier will also be closed, but the rest of the park will remain open.
For more information, call Project Coordinator Bret Wilson at 425-452-2932.

The president’s motorcade left I-5 at Montlake and made its way through the Washington Park Arboretum and on to Lake Washington Boulevard. The street was lined with well-wishers and police.
The motorcade reached the home where the brunch will take place at 12:35 p.m. The large, multimillion-dollar home on Lake Washington has a chicken coop near the garage. Very Seattle.
About 70 people were there to receive the president.
