Social Security fraud sends ex-Bellevue man to prison

A former Bellevue resident who collected his mother’s Social Security benefits for 23 years after her death was sentenced to six months in prison Monday and ordered to pay $188,436 in restitution. UPDATE: Highway 2 incident ends with man’s arrest

UPDATE AT 5:10 P.M.: State Patrol Trooper Keith Leary says the man climbed down from the guardrail voluntarily. He has been taken into custody and will be booked into Snohomish County Jail.
