Photos and winners from a wet and windy Seattle Marathon

The 41st Seattle Marathon took place Sunday, starting at 5th Avenue North and Harrison Street near the EMP and ending at Memorial Stadium at Seattle Center. View a full map of the course.

Seattle residents came in first in the men’s and women’s categories of the Seattle Marathon Sunday, officials said.

Jesse Williams, 34, led the men’s field in the 26.2-mile event with a finishing time of 2 hours, 29 minutes and 54 seconds.

Trish Steidl, 34, was the first female finisher with a time of 3 hours, 3 minutes and 40 seconds. They were among more than 2,700 participants in Sunday’s full marathon.

In the 13.1-mile half-marathon event, Brian Masterson, 17, of Seattle, was the first to cross with a time of 1 hour, 12 minutes and 39 seconds. The first woman to finish, Bronwyn Crossman, 22, of Bellingham, had a time of 1 hour, 20 minutes and 43 seconds.

More than 8,200 participated in the half-marathon.
