Sunday night mudslide cancels Sounder North

The north Sounder commuter-train line and Amtrak service to Vancouver, B.C. will be closed Monday and Tuesday because of a new mudslide. Just before 11 p.m. Sunday, several trees about 20 feet tall tumbled down a 50-foot-high slope near Richmond Beach, said Gus Melonas, spokesman for the BNSF Railway.  Federal safety rules require a 48-hour wait…
