According to the Fire Department, firefighters and paramedics were called about 9:30 a.m. when the girl was out of the water and the staff were performing CPR on her. When firefighters arrived, the girl was breathing and alert and had a good pulse.
The incident occurred at Safe N Sound Swimming, which offers lessons and classes in an indoor swimming pool below the China Harbor restaurant.
It’s not known how long the girl was under water.
