UPDATE 5:25 P.M.| Seattle Fire found that the liquid inside the two gray 55-gallon barrels is non-hazardous.
Around 4:30 p.m. a hazmat team approached the barrels with the highest level of security, according to Deputy Chief James Woodbury.
“We always take these things seriously,” Woodbury said. “The hand-painted “danger” sign, especially piques your interest.”
At 5:20 p.m., traffic was still being diverted from the scene as Seattle Fire scaled down its containment zone and investigation.

Five lanes of the six-lane road, including all northbound lanes, have been closed since shortly after 6 p.m. when a southbound box truck crossed the center line and collided head-on with an SUV, causing the SUV to roll over, police said.
The 24-year-old driver of the box truck was taken to Harborview Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries, police said. Upon his release, he is expected to be booked into King County Jail on investigation of vehicular assault and driving under the influence, according to SPD.
Police said the driver of the SUV, a man in his 70s, was also taken to Harborview Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
UPDATE 6:52 p.m.: Police spokesman Detective Jeff Kappel said Traffic Collision detectives are on their way to the scene of the rollover accident on Aurora Avenue North. He said it will be approximately two hours before the lanes are re-opened.
EARLIER POST: All northbound lanes of Aurora Avenue North are shut due to a rollover car accident that sent at least one man to the hospital, according to Seattle police and fire departments.
Seattle police spokesman Jeff Kappel said that only one southbound lane on Aurora Avenue North is currently open. All northbound lanes are closed.
Kyle Moore, a spokesman for the fire department, said the accident occurred in the northbound lanes shortly after 6 p.m.
At least one person involved in the accident, a man in his 60′s, was en route to Harborview Medical Center, he said. Moore said the man had been wearing a seat belt and appeared to be in stable condition. Another car was reported to be involved in the accident, but it was not immediately clear how, Moore said.
Moore said the fire trucks were beginning to clear the scene by 6:30 p.m., but police said it was not clear when the lanes would be re-opened.
